Bluetooth to x10 ?
« on: October 12, 2017, 10:03:35 AM »
I saw this on another forum
http://www.avioninnovative.com/smart-house.html
To me it just turns your phone into a fancy X10 remote and an expensive one to boot.
However someone may find it interesting ;)
X10 turned me into a Software programmer.
A warning label should have been added ;)

Thanks for the update.

It seems to support Apple products exclusively.  But the fact that someone else is offering a new product for X10 automation is a good sign.

Yes,
I see they even have their own lamp and appliance modules though the design is the same, so I suspect they may  be using the same manufacturer

Interesting information on the Lamp and Appliance Modules.
Web site has no data on them except they are being sold. So if they have the same specifications as the X10 ones we can't determine.

It sounds like the lamp modules are the softstart design.
However it would be interesting if the appliance modules have the quieter relays Authinix is introducing in the newer modules.

They posted in the Smarthome Forums also.

I saw their sales pitch type reply to Tuicemen.

I asked a few questions. Like more data on the lamp and appliance modules and if they ever plan on adding Android support.
So far their quick replies to questions. Seem to be dried up.

Seems this really isn't anything new just a new company distributing it.

Hello.
It is really much more than a fancy remote. It features large icons and images to make it easier for people with vision limitations. Activities, Events and lighting scenes, like lunch or happy hour, have a photo that is touched to run the event. Avion has a timer to run events. Everything is programmed on the iPhone or iPad and it easy and fast to program and make changes. No PC needed. Rooms are organized by Zone with a photo of the room as the icon to select. The controller is Bluetooth Smart and is not connected to IP; It was designed as a local controller. See and try the GUI, we believe the visuals and ease of use and programming may help with forming a positive review.

Android compatibility is on the wish list as well as a number of others. As the designer, there comes a time that you have to put the brakes on and market the product.

Please let us know if you have any questions.  Thank you.
