LM465 behavior
« on: July 31, 2017, 12:26:51 PM »
Is this normal?  XM20A says Unit 4 is off.  Floor lamp with LED bulb is plugged into LM465 coded unit 4.  If I turn the switch on the lamp off then on the LED lights. The XM20A says it is off. I can turn it off with the XM20A. Was this always true with the LM465?

If you use the LM465 Local Control Sensing. Cycling the local light  switch. From On to Off and back On and the load originally was Off. It will turn On as you have seen.

All the present X10 modules are receive only. So using the local switch to turn it On. Will not send a message that it is now On to any X10 controller.

The now rare two way X10 module also don't send a signal it was turned On locally. AM14A and LM14A are two I tested.
They do respond to an X10 Status Request to its X10 address.

Some of the other brand X10 clones where two way. Like my early Insteon Modules that could accept an optional X10 Primary Address and two way Smarthome X10 clones.
