XTBR&XTBR-II Mode Programming Utility?
« on: October 20, 2016, 01:40:33 PM »
I just found the utilities on the web site.
It indicates it is for the latest firmware.

My XTB-IIR is firmware V1.12/E.
I tested the utility and some settings where readable. Did not try any changes.
Can I use the utility and just use the V1.12/E options file to see what I can read and set?

The programming utility is intended for versions 1.20+.  I believe it will work with 1.12/E, but some of the mode options were changed at 1.20.  Some have different numbers, and some are not supported at all by the earlier firmware.  Just compare the mode options listed in your documentation with those listed in the utility.

Thank you for the information.
I may look at the firmware page and see if there is a V1.20 or above that will work with the 1.30 PCB.

I may look at the firmware page and see if there is a V1.20 or above that will work with the 1.30 PCB.

The main reason for the 1.20 upgrade was to have a single firmware version that supports all PCB versions.  So the current version 1.23 runs in all XTB-IIR, XTB-IIR+, and even XTB-III PCBs.  At startup it determines which version PCB it is installed into, and configures itself appropriately.
