Anyone selling off Airsight Cameras?
« on: August 10, 2013, 12:48:11 PM »
Since X10Pro/Authinx didn't seem to pick up X10's warehouse inventory of Airsight Cameras from the bankruptcy, I was wondering who did?    Has anyone noticed a liquidation sale going on, somewhere?

At the right price, these cameras aren't all that bad.  I might want to pick a few more up.

I suspect there is still a warehouse full of these same as the CM15A since the day before everything fell apart I was assured of getting replacement parts and the pricing.

These may return as well but the firmware would need to be updated as I can't see anyone wishing to deal with disgruntled end users complaining about something out of their control.

Watching E-bay you may find Easyn, Foscam or Wanscam cameras at 1/2 the price of the Airsights. I know I did, mind you I had to submit a best offer for two. ;)

You never know Airsights may end up there too!

I can get  Easyn outdoor cameras exactly the same as the XX40A for $99 + Shipping if I get 2 or more. ;)

It would be interesting to see who is actually interested in picking up IP cameras similar to then X10 ones. ???
If there was a demand for these I'd look into grabbing a bunch as the more you order the cheaper they become.
I might even be able to arrange a direct send to the purchaser to save even more on costs ;)

I got my wide-angle XX41A for around $55 from X10 itself (one of their 1/2 price until 5pm sales).      I would be interested in getting another, plus an outdoor equivalent, but only for around that price (or less).

I've fired off specs via email to see if something similar is available.
If anyone else is interested PM me and I'll see what I can do. ;)

I've seen a few on eBay but the prices are no deal even starting bids are no deal.
There is a comparable Easyn camera which I should be able to get for less then what the XX41A deal was.
However shipping costs may change that  :'(

Authinx has a new shipment of Airsights currently held in customs as it was flagged for inspection.
These are from another manufacture hopefully better not worse quality. ??? ::)
There is I'm told indoor, outdoor and a HD model in the shipment.
They hope to have a outdoor PTZ model in a later shipment.
If your on their mailing list you will be the first to get your hands on these before they are offered to the general public. ;)
I'm told the pricing is comparable with the old units.

Does anyone have a link?    It doesn't appear to be simply http://www.authinx.com/  .

The old X10.com works as they bought the domain name.

The new Airsight cameras are due to be released (offered for sale) today.
There was a small delay which was the result of a software quality issue the owner uncovered.
I posted about this on the X10 forums ( http://forums.x10.com/index.php?topic=28726.msg161054#msg161054 ). ;)
